Ruscus Leaves

Ruscus Leaves are actually cladodes that appear as flat, spiky structures. They can be oval or lance-shaped and grow in pairs along the stem. These cladodes are stiff and leathery, giving them a very robust look. The cladodes are typically a dark green, giving the plant a lush, evergreen appearance throughout the year. While the true leaves are tiny and scale-like (and often not very noticeable), the cladodes perform the functions of leaves, including photosynthesis.
