1. Watering Frequency: Calatheas like to be kept evenly moist, but not soggy. You should water when the top inch or so of the soil feels dry. This is typically once a week, but it can vary depending on your indoor conditions (temperature, humidity, etc.).

2. Water Type: Calatheas are sensitive to chemicals like chlorine and fluoride that can be present in tap water. It’s best to use distilled water, filtered water, or allow tap water to sit for 24 hours before using it, so the chemicals can dissipate.

3. Watering Method: Water the plant thoroughly until water drains out from the bottom of the pot. Ensure the plant is never sitting in standing water, as this can lead to root rot.

4. Humidity Needs: Calatheas love humidity!
